Blauer Zweigelt

This Austrian varietal is a cross between the Blaufrankisch and St Laurent grapes.  The bright ruby hue and upfront dark Bing cherry and toasty cedar notes lead to a surprisingly layered depth.  The well-balanced lighter tannins make this a nice summer red or with full flavored spicy dishes.
